Super Awesome CSS3 Buttons

Been doing a lot of redesigns lately and I have been taking advantage of some awesome CSS3 that makes life so much easier.

Here is a great example of what can be done by just using descriptive class names and CSS3 properties like gradients and box shadows, you can create a set of scalable styles for links and buttons.

I have been working on a Flash site lately and I have never attempted to initiate a lightbox from a flash movie.

So thanks to Google I poked around and found this article on Smashing Magazine.

HTML 5 Video Player

Greg Buchanan - Wednesday, May 26, 2010
Video JS is a javascript-based video player that uses the HTML5 video functionality built into advanced browsers. In general, the benefit of using an HTML5 player is a consistent look between browsers.

The other nice thing is that it's iPhone and iPad compatible!

jQuery.LocalScroll/ScrollTo - Animated scrolling navigation, using anchors.

Greg Buchanan - Tuesday, April 13, 2010
Just got the heads up on a new project that will use some pretty neat jQuery horizontal scrolling effects.

The inspiration was drawn from this website: http://www.designfilmfestival.com/

From what I m seeing the site is using these two particular plug-ins:
/* jQuery.ScrollTo - Easy element scrolling using jQuery.
 * jQuery.LocalScroll - Animated scrolling navigation, using anchors.
 * http://flesler.blogspot.com
 * http://flesler.blogspot.com/2007/10/jqueryscrollto.html
 */
Always love to do some cool unconventional things!

Grid Accordian with jQuery

Greg Buchanan - Thursday, March 25, 2010
Accordions are a UI pattern where you click on a title (in a vertical stack of titles) and a panel of content reveals itself below. Typically, all other open panels close when the new one opens. They are a clever and engaging mechanism for packing a lot of information in a small space.
